HOST
I don't know if Scott Sped-man is here with us yet.

SCOTT FOLEY
Speedman (voice in the back also says "Speedman")

HOST
Scott Speedman.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Hey.

SCOTT FOLEY
Hey.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
(more chipper) Hey! What's up?!

SCOTT FOLEY
How you doin' bro?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Uh, you know. I'm sick.

SCOTT FOLEY
Are you really? Uhhhhhh.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Mom got in two nights ago.

HOST
Who's this strange voice?

SCOTT FOLEY
That's Mr. Speedman.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Sped-man.

HOST
Mr. Speedman!

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
What's up?

HOST
I just ruined your name.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
That's alright. You can ruin it.

HOST
But I won't wear it out though.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
That's okay.

SCOTT FOLEY
I ruined it earlier, Scotty.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Oh, that's okay.

HOST
Scott Speedman...

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
How's New York, Foley?

SCOTT FOLEY
It's amazing.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Yeah?

SCOTT FOLEY
Yeah.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
What's going on?

HOST
Hey you guys,

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Oh, sorry.

HOST
Remember me?

SPEEDMAN and FOLEY
No!

HOST
(laughing) We're on the air now. So Scott Speedman...

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Yup.

HOST
Remember to talk fairly slow. It's Real Audio, so your fans are hearing your voice as you speak.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Wow.

SCOTT FOLEY
Watch your language.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Okay.

HOST
So, thanks for chatting with us today, Scott Foley.

SCOTT FOLEY
You're welcome. Thanks for having me.

HOST
You're really totally, totally cool. And I mean that.(SF laughing)Don't ever tell yourself you're not the cool one!

(SS laughing in the background)

SCOTT FOLEY
Speedman can have that title all day long.Scotty tell your mom I said hi.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Alright man, tell everyone there I said hello.

SCOTT FOLEY
I will. Have a good one.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Yeah, you too man.

SCOTT FOLEY
Bye everybody. Thanks.

HOST
Scott Speedman ....

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Hi.

HOST
How ya doin' .. Okay now I have to say that last name ten times over

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
What's that?

HOST
Now I have to say Speedman ten times over so I don't say Sped-man.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Yeah (laughs)

HOST
Okay, we have a question for you.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Okay.

HOST
This if from Fabiana. Ben is so sweet, but he never kissed Felicity, parentheses, even with he had an opportunity, would you kiss her?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Would I kiss Felicity? Sure, yeah.

HOST
It's a good question.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Hey, yeah, man...good question.

HOST
Yeah, I wasn't quite sure if she meant you as Speedman or you as Covington.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Yeah, I think if you're talking about Ben; I think he wants to he's just having some reservations about it. It's a bit scared to jump into that type of thing.

HOST
Got it.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Is that slow enough? I talk pretty slow so it's good.

HOST
Doin' good. Okay, here's a question from Bonnie. I just finished watching The Force episode and the sparks flying off the screen between Ben and Nicole didn't really look like acting. The chemistry was hot. Any comments?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Um...(laughs). No, not really. Those were both tough scenes to shoot.Very tough scenes.

HOST
Yeah, I bet they were.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Yes.

HOST
Okay, there's a lot of compliments here that we're sifting through. We just can't sit here and take marriage proposals online. So here's the nextquestion. Kira says, " Do you guys pull pranks on each other on the set, and if so, what kinds of things have happened?"

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Um...I don't know. I've been on sets that have a lot more pranks than on this one, especially towards the end of the season on one of them.Uh, Keri always just tries to make me laugh. That's mainly what happens and we end up getting in trouble because we just break up in the middle of takes. When I'm on camera or she's on camera, she's always trying to make me laugh. That's about the only prank that goes on.

HOST
Really? You guys are just a bunch of clowns.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Well, yeah I guess, pretty clowny.

HOST
That's good. Clowning around is good.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Clowning is good.

HOST
Okay, next question. Scott, what would you like to see happen to Ben next season?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
I'd like to see his character grow a bit more, I guess. Get more in tune with what he wants to do and try to figure out his life a little more. Not always flailing so much. Um, get more confident in his real true feelings, I guess.

HOST
Okay, Connie has a question for you.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Alrighty.

HOST
Scott Speedman, of the characters that you have played other than Ben,which one is your favourite. Love Connie from the Netherlands.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
From the Netherlands?

HOST
How do you like them apples?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
I just finished a film that I like - Duets it was called. The character Billy in Duets was fun. And I did a short film in Toronto called Can I Get a Witness which was fun.

HOST
Can I Get A....?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Can I Get a Witness.

HOST
Witness.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Yeah. It's a good little short film.

HOST
How short is short?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Uh, it's a 60 minute short film at the Canadian Film Centre.

HOST
What is the...I've always been curious what is the maximum allotted for a short...

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
For a short film to be short? (laughing)

HOST
Yeah, right.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
I think it's under 80 minutes and it's a short film.

HOST
Really?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Yah.

HOST
That's funny because some Woody Allen films are like 55 minutes.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Yeah, yeah. They're considered short films.

HOST
Well, that's interesting...

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
They still get released as feature films.

HOST
Wow, thanks, cleared that one up for me.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Yeah. Yup. Anytime.

HOST
Alright, Sara has a question for you: "Hey I was wondering what are the hardest scenes for you to do?"

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Well, someone just asked about the scene....w-w-well, when they asked....uh, what's the hardest scene? Well, we they ah--...when Nicole takes her clothes off, those were tough scenes.

HOST
In what way, would you say?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Well, it's just awkward. It's just awkward because you know, you're just friends on the set and you don't know each other that well, and ...

HOST
People think it's a lot of fun, but they just don't know.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Yeah, it's tough and it's embarrassing for both people. You have to just try to get through that and finish the scene and be professional about it.But it is really tough.

HOST
Okay, Felicity fans you heard it from the man himself. (SS giggling in the background) It's not as easy as it looks.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
It's not as easy as it looks.

HOST
Okay, here's a question from John.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Uh-oh.

HOST
Does the cast ever get into little fights, if so how do you work them out?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Um, we haven't been bad. We never get into fights really.  Well, maybe season two. So far, season one, no fights.I honestly can't remember a fight. I've got into arguments with directors and we just worked it out...

HOST
Uh-oh. That's not good.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
No, I know. But not cast members.

HOST
What kinds of arguments? Like, what?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Just about decisions or choices that they're making.

HOST
Keep going, keep going.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Just like if I don't agree and we have a heated discussion. It's more a heated discussion than an argument or fight.

HOST
Like, if they want you to work until 10 pm and you have other plans.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
(big laugh) Nah, I have had a couple of those but that's not what I'm talkin' about. It's just like in a scene and they want me to do it a certain way and I'm just not into it. I know they'll say "Just do it once." but I know if I do it once, that's the one time ... that they'll use the choice.
You know what I mean.

HOST
Yeah, I know what you mean. We have a question from Maggie May -- Has everyone in the cast become good friends through the season? Is there a member of the cast you've really hit it off with?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Yeah, I've hit it off with most of them really. Uh...I guess we go through periods where we're working with a certain person a lot and whenever I'm working with them, I get close with them.

HOST
Well, you guys are really lucky, I really must say.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Yeah, it doesn't always work out like that.

HOST
You know on other shows that shall remain nameless you hear about people fighting around but I've heard nothing but good things from you guys.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Yeah, we've been pretty lucky. I think we're a little older than that show so things are a little easier.

HOST
Oh, alright. We've have question here:"What do you think is the best thing about the show Felicity itself? Is there a message you think people should get from it?"

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Uh, I think the original think that attracted to me..that attracted me to Felicity was just follow your heart or follow your gut, follow your instincts. I think that's the best message you can find from it. That's what I like best about the show is watching this girl follow what she truly wants to do.

HOST
Following your heart is a universal thing so I think that's why the show is so popular.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Yeah, I think that's what people like to watch about it.

HOST
Yet it has that urban gritty edge to it.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN (laughs)

HOST
You know what I mean?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Yeah, I guess so.

HOST
Quirky.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
It is quirky, isn't it? Yeah, I like that.

HOST
Okay, next question. Do you want Felicity and Ben to get together?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Um....yeah, I think we need to see what would happen. I don't know how it would work now really. But I'd like to see how that would affect therelationship and where the writers would take it. That'd be kind of interesting.

HOST
We're all anxiously waiting to see what happens.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Yeah, I don't even know what's going to happen.

HOST
So you say.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN (laughs)

HOST
If you knew, you wouldn't tell us would you, Scott?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
No, I wouldn't.

HOST
Okay here's a question from Sue: "Hey Scott, have you ever had a relationship in life similar to the one Noel has with Felicity?"

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
(sigh, long pause) Uh, no. No. No, I haven't.

HOST
What about Ben?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN Um, I've had a relationship where I liked a girl from afar but she never knew who I was, or um...y'know, knew my name or anything. I eventually started dating her, but I would follow her around high school.

HOST (laughing)

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
For a year and a half. I've had that.

HOST
When you say "followed", Scott (SS laughing loudly)...are we talking about stalking?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
(still laughing) Nah, it was ....(laughing) there's a big difference between following and stalking. I would just try to see her every chance I could.

HOST
Oh, alright. We'll just try to laugh that one off, man. (SS laughing) We're having a grand ol' time here. Josh has a question for you. "How much location shooting do you do in New York for an average episode?" Actually, I was curious about this too.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
We started doing...we went up once every six weeks, seven weeks and we'd do a bunch of exterior shots. But now we do mostly on the Paramount lot in Los Angeles. So, I'd like to do more. (pause) In New York.

HOST
Is it like totally awesome driving through the studio gates to go to your job?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
What's that?

HOST
Is it awesome driving through studio gates to report to work?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Well, yeah. The first time I did it, it was hard to take in what was going on because I'd never worked on a studio, on a television show for that matter. So it really, really blew me away. Yeah. It is pretty awesome.

HOST
Quite the nine to five.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Yeah.

HOST
Scott, here's another question for you from Trix. What part of Toronto are you from?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Um, I grew up in Willowdale and....

HOST
How do you spell that?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
How do I spell it?

HOST
Because our typist needs to know. We want to get this verbatim.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
(laughs) W-I-L-L-O-W-D-A-L-E.

HOST
Willowdale.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Willowdale. But I lived downtown for like the last five years, down at like Spadina and Bloor.

HOST
(sounding really confused) Okay, what was the last thing you said? (SS laughing)

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
I lived most of the time, the last...my formative years at Spadina and Bloor. (Typist starts to ask how to spell it...)

HOST
Spadina and Bloor. Kah-bless-you!

SCOTT SPEEDMAN (laughing loudly)

HOST
I did not hear what you just said.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
S-P-A-D-I-N-A

HOST
S-P-A-

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
A-D

HOST
A-B?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
A-D as in doughnut.

HOST
As in do-do head, as in me!

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Yeah. (laughing) I-N-A

HOST
A-D-I-N

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
A

TYPIST
Spa-deena

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Spa-dinah. Spadina and Bloor. (lots of giggling from SS and typist)

HOST
Bloor. B-L-U-R-E?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
B-L-O-O-R.

HOST
Oh! Didn't even get that one right.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
It's okay, guys.

HOST
I'm the laughing stock of the Internet right now.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
That's okay.

HOST
But no one else here knew either, so I feel better. Okay, Scott, someone wants to know if your a Maple Leafs fan.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Oh my gosh. I'm in so much trouble because, nah, I've never played hockey in my life.

HOST
Aw, really? Neither have I.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
I'm a basketball fan.

HOST
Alright.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Tell 'em I was born in England. Which is true.

HOST
You were born in London, weren't you?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Yeah

HOST
I knew that.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
I never got into hockey all the much.

HOST
But you like tennis don't you?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
I was a swimmer and a runner growing up. But I love tennis, yeah.

HOST
Tennis is awesome.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Yeah, tennis is great.

HOST
Okay, Abby has a question for you. "Scott, do you think being from Canada has set you apart in anyway way from other cast members? Have you noticed any differences?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Um, I wouldn't say from other cast members, but I notice it helps down in Los Angeles a lot being from Canada. It just gives you a better perspective on all the...uh, B.S. I guess.

HOST
What was the last thing you said. A better perspective of what?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Just of.. I think I have a more defined persepctive of Los Angeles, of living here. Seeing L.A. for what it is and the pitfalls of it. I think being from Canada helps that. I think I have a better perspective on it.

HOST
The pitfalls of Los Angeles? Whatever do you mean? (mockingly)

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
(laughs) Yes.

HOST
Wait til an 8.0 hits. There'll be one major pitfall and we're all going to fall into it.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
(laughing) Exactly.

HOST
I don't think I'm gonna think about it. Next question. What aspect of Ben's character can you identify with the most?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Um....

HOST
He's super cool. What else?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
That and his ... I always find Ben's trying to figure out who he is, so I can identify with that. He seems to be searching for what...who he really is. And I indentify with that a lot.

HOST
Okay.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Hope that made sense.

HOST
No, no (reassuringly)...it's like soul-searching.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Yeah, sure.

HOST
Okay we have a question from Ashley. She writes: I think that Felicity makes a good couple with Noel, I hope that she doesn't fall for you,Scott....Speedman

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Oh. (little laugh) Uh-oh

HOST
...'cause you make a good couple with Julie.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Oh!(sounding surprised)

HOST
She's really up on this.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Yeah, she knows what's going on. Yeah, I think so too. You know, I think me and Julie or Ben and Julie, they're a good couple. When I watch, I like them together.

HOST
What about hiring this girl Ashley as a writer, huh?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Yeah, yeah. Tell her to send her address in; she's got some good ideas.

HOST
Alright,Ashley, come out to Hollywood.(SCOTT SPEEDMAN laughing). But remember the pitfalls of Los Angeles.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Where's she from? Where's Ashley from?

HOST
Uh, she doesn't say. Some of them say, but she didn't. But you do have a lot of fans all over the place.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Okay. Yeah, that's cool.

HOST
It is. Awesome. From Rochelle. We have a question from Rochelle: Ben's relationship with his parents is very strained. Do you think anything could make him and his dad better off?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
(sigh, pause) Uh...I think his dad would have to come to New York and beg. I think his dad would have to...

HOST
I'm sorry, would have to come to New York and what?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Would have to come to New York and beg and really, really try to make the relationship better. I think his dad...I think he has huge mistrust for, with his dad and his dad's really wronged the family too many times. I think Ben thinks it'd be incredibly hard to forgive his father.

HOST
Family troubles.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Family troubles.

HOST
This question is actually from one of the audience members listening with the Real Audio. And Speedman, it's kinda nice because this person's kind of concerned: "Poor guy, you sound so nasally. Do you need anyone to nurse you back to health?"

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
(laughing) My mom....look, listen, I don't think I've ever been this sick. I gotta be honest.

HOST
What's wrong?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
I've just got a terrible, terrible cold and flu or something. I don't know. But my mom flew into town...

HOST
What a trooper! He's here and he's sick.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
I know, I know. Can you believe it? I just took...my mom.. My mom just got into town two nights ago and she's all worried about me.

HOST
Really?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
So, I'm alright. I'm all taken care of.

HOST
So, you're here in Los Angeles right now?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Yeah.

HOST
And Foley was back in New York.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Yeah, Foley was back in New York. See, my best friend was down here for a week and we got into a lot of trouble. Well, we just went out too much and now I'm sick.

HOST
Uh-oh. Moving right along...

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
(laughing sheepishly) Sorry.

HOST
There's nuthin' to be sorry about. This is from Emily: Can you say "man" for me. I want to see if you have an accent like my friend from Canada. I love you, Scott."

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Oh, uh...maaan? I don't think I have much of an accent.

HOST
Do it on 3.....1-2-3

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Man.

HOST
Alright and the Oscar goes to...I guess you're sick, man so we'll take it.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Yeah, c'mon.

HOST
Alright, I don't want to give you a hard time.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
I mean, I'm so sick.

HOST
Wow, that's really awful. Do you have a fever?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
What's that?

HOST
Do you have a fever?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
I did. It's alright now. I took, like, six...I've taken, like, nine Tylenols today.

HOST
Oh man, you must feel bad.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Can you believe that? No, I'm alright.

HOST
Okay. Nine Tylenol? I hope you make it to the end of the chat.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
(big laugh) So do I.

HOST
Okay, next question. Do you have a middle name and if so what is it, and what's your birthday.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Okay, my middle name is actually Scott. My real name is Robert. But my parents always just called me Scott. And my birthday is September 1st.

HOST
Okay. What sign is that?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
(sounding confused)What time?

HOST
What sign?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Oh,(laughing)...Virgo.

HOST
Virgo. Okay, someone writes in "Where do you think your relationship with Julie will go?" This is from Jan.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Um, I don't know. When I think about it, I guess my instincts for that is for it to go way downhill.
(giggling)But I don't know. I just see it blowing up and going downhill.

HOST
What a fatalist.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
I know. I'm sorry, but it's true.

HOST
An honest response, off the cuff. Scott is there anything you don't like about your character Ben?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
(long pause, big sigh)Um, there's some stuff. Let's see, what don't I like. I guess early on...I always found him sometimes a bit moody, a bit too moody sometimes.
(laughs a little) Moody and sullen. But, no, I like the character a lot. I really do.

HOST
That's good. We were saying to Scott Foley earlier, it's good to like your own character. Otherwise it's self-loathing.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
It is good. It kinda helps.

HOST
Okay, Melissa writes in. This is in all caps, giant letters. "I love the show Felicity, you have such a beautiful cast with great acting talents. I was wondering if Scott has to train to keep in shape for your onscreen swimming scenes."

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
(big laugh)Um, yeah those swimming scenes made me so nervous. I didn't want to do them.

HOST
Why?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Just because I was a swimmer. I can't swim anymore but I swam at a very high level back in Canada. And now I can't swim anymore because I got very injured. And I just didn't want to do it, but yeah, I got in the pool a couple of weeks before those swimming scenes and just tried to get back into swimming shape a little bit.

HOST
Oh. When you say swimming shape you don't mean like how we're in shape. You mean, like, skinny.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Yeah, I also mean, like, getting my stroke back and not looking like a bum. (laughing)

HOST
Twenty inch waist. Okay, "Do you or any of the cast have input on the scripts and plot. By the way, take zinc tabs for your cold."

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Oh, tell them thank you. That's a good idea.

HOST
Zinc and echinacea. I'm telling you, dude.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Yeah, I just took a bunch of echinacea, but I take too much of it. I overdose, it's really stupid...

HOST
Just like you do with the Tylenol. We're getting worried about you.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
I know. See alarms are going off all over the place...see, I know.  But ah...input.

HOST
Yeah, about input into the plot.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Well, you know, the writers basically decide what's going on. We have our say in what's going on, you know, if we come up with an interesting idea, they'll definitely listen to it.

HOST
They don't resent you pitching an idea or anything.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
No, no. They're pretty cool about that. It is that kind of atmosphere where we're allowed to get involved in what's going on and they like it.

HOST
That must mean you guys must be pretty cool and low maintenance otherwise they wouldn't open the forum for you to pitch an idea.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Yeah, yeah. We're pretty low maintenance. I think that's why there's not a lot of fighting. We're not, as I said before.

HOST
Okay. To Scott Speedman: I'd like to be there to take care of you and your cold but I'm here in Brazil...

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
They get the show in Brazil!?  Oh my goodness.

HOST
And other places too. Holland we had someone writing in.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
(sound genuinely amazed) Really.

HOST
Yeah, Foley didn't know it was in Holland. Did you know?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
I didn't know. No, I was just in Ireland and it wasn't there.

HOST
Isn't that awesome?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Yeah, that's great.

HOST
And they all want to take care of your cold...

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Yeah.

HOST
...and you'll get no rest because you'll have nursemaids coming in every hour from every country.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Well, that'd be alright though.

HOST
(laughing)That'd be alright.  This is a question from Raina: Are you attracted to a girl like Felicity -- for example -- angelic, responsible or a girl like Julie -- for example, gutsy and creative.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Oooh.(laugh) I'd go for the angelic, gutsy, creative.

HOST
Wait, what was that...oh, you kind of combined everything.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Yup. I like to throw them all into a big mish mash.

HOST
Okay, there are no rules here in the chat studio.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
(laughing) But, uh, responsible not. I probably don't usually do that, that much. Responsible. Nah. But definitely gutsy and creative.

HOST
Okay. Those are two important ones.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Yeah, I like that.

HOST
Okay, what about your roommate? Is it fun to work with Greg?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Yes. I love working with Greg. He's going to be a regular next season.

HOST
Oh really?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Yeah, and that's amazing because he's so much fun to work with.

HOST
So he's happy about that.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Yeah, he's thrilled. But yeah, I have some of my most fun working with him. We get along great.

HOST
Good. Everything's been really sweet and sappy so far. We want to hear a really bad story. Nah, nah, we're just kidding you.

(SCOTT SPEEDMAN laughing)

HOST
You guys are just so happy; it's nice.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
It's gross, huh?

HOST
Okay: I love you Ben. My name is Emily, can you say hi to me? Because I think you are super hot and super cool.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Oh my goodness. What's her name?

HOST
Emily.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Hey Emily, how ya doin'?

HOST
There you have it Emily. It's down in the record books.

SCOTT
There you go.

HOST
You were not ignored. Sick and all.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Sick and all.

HOST
Who has inspired you the most in your life?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
My dad. And my mum's dad. And a swimmer named Victor Davis. And Paul Newman.

HOST
Paul Newman? Love his salad dressing.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Oh yeah. And his popcorn's not bad either.

HOST
He's been reduced to a food brand now.

(SCOTT SPEEDMAN giggling like a girl)

HOST
Okay, about how long did you take to shoot an entire episode?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Eight days. Uh...yeah, eight days.

HOST
Wow, really?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Yeah from...why would'ya think -- longer or shorter?

HOST
I would think shorter but I'm thinking 30 minute episodes.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Yeah you're thinking 30 minute sitcom. They got the best job in the world, man.

HOST
That's right. They're in at 9, out at 5 and they go home and eat dinner.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Yeah. But ours, Friday nights we get out at like three in the morning, four in the morning. One hour television is one of the hardest jobs in tv and film and stuff.(beat) But not for me. I'm a bit of a slacker.

(HOST laughs).

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Keri works very hard.

HOST
Wow, eight days. I'm impressed. I had absolutely no idea. Okay, someone asks: Were you popular in high school.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Uh, I was swimming very competitively when I was in high school. I was training 11, 12 times a week so I was a bit of a nobody in high school.

HOST
You were training 11, 12 times a week. That's it? (kidding)

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Uh yeah...but last two years of high school, I got very into high school. I got injured so I started really becoming a part of the high school. But no, I wasn't...I wasn't super popular. No.

HOST
You guys are both so humble I can't stand it. Both of you.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Who?

HOST
Scott Foley was the same way.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Aw...No, I'm not very humble; you just gotta get to know me a little better.

HOST
Alright. How do you get use to the fans -- this is from Liz.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Geez, I don't know if you ever get used to it. You just gotta try to figure it out and not take too much stock in it, I guess. Not let it go to your head too much and just say it's part of the job. But it really hasn't been overwhelming. The fans have always just been really, really nice and sweet and respectful of who you are and your space.

HOST
Especially when you wear your sunglasses, hat and trenchcoat.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
(laughing) Yeah, yeah. But in L.A. it's great. No one ever bothers me.

HOST
Really.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Yeah, nobody.

HOST
Okay, someone wants to know: Do you speak any other languages?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Nope. (giggle) No.

HOST
Just English, huh.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Just English and I have a tough time with that.

HOST
Alright. Rochelle wants to know: Gambling is a serious business. Now that Ben turned to his mom for help, is Ben done?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Is Ben dumb?!

HOST
No, is Ben done now that Ben turned to his mom for help?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Um, yeah I think he's really going to try to clean himself up. But I don't know if he's done falling all the way down yet.

HOST
We have a great wrap-up question. The fans are crying here now that we're wrapping things up. I'm sure they're putting on their black clothing.

(SCOTT SPEEDMAN laughs)

HOST
Very sad about this, but we are going to get this last question in because I think it's a great wrap-up question.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Alright.

HOST
If the two Scotts got into a fight, who would win?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
(laughing)That is a great question.

HOST
No wishy-washy answers now.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
No...I'm gonna..I mean, he is...we're both tall guys but he's got an extra inch on me. But I'm pretty scrappy. I have quite a temper. So, I don't know. It'd be a really close fight. But y'know, I'm going to have to be fair. I'm going to have to give the edge to Foley. He's a pretty tall guy. A pretty strong guy.

HOST
Really.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Yeah, but I'm scrappy. I don't know. It'd be tough.

HOST
Did you have fun, Speedman?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
What?

HOST
Did you have fun, Speedman?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

HOST
We had a great time. And we really, really, really, and I mean it, really appreciate you being sick and being so awesome.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Oh, it's totally fine.

HOST
You could have overslept. You could have...just imagine. But you were great.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Yeah, well tell everybody I said hi, or whatever.

HOST
Absolutely. And we're out of time for today's chat, so thanks for joining us.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Oh, no problem.

HOST
Yes, and it really was appreciated. We'll have you back any time.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Okay.

HOST
Say good bye to your fans. Any last thing you want to say to your fans?

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Uh, just, y'know, thanks for watching. I really, really did appreciate it. I really do.

HOST
Well, we appreciate it right back. Take it easy, Scott.

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Alright, see you guys.

HOST
Bye now.

TYPIST
Bye!

SCOTT SPEEDMAN
Alright, thanks a lot for typing. Bye.
