Cutting it in LA (Calgary Sun)

"It's just a haircut!" Scott Speedman exclaims. "I don't get it. I'm shocked it's that big a deal."

Welcome to primetime, Scott.

It was indeed earth-shattering news when his Felicity co-star Keri Russell chopped her trademark locks.

The Toronto actor is holding court outside Dean and Deluca, the coffee shop set where Felicity and Ben work, discussing the show's sophomore season, which began with the haircut commotion.

"I know she's got beautiful hair, but I don't know -- she still looks pretty good," Speedman shrugs.

Otherwise, the cast of Felicity is looking forward to lightening things up around campus in upcoming episodes.

For starters, there's the Jan. 23 Twilight Zone tribute episode. It will have Felicity seeking help for her incurable romantic inclination at an unusual clinic and is directed by Zone vet Lamont Johnson.

The episode also answers a question as old as "Which Scott is cuter?" That's right, we find out what's in Meghan's mysterious box.

Speedman enthusiastically talks about an upcoming story in which the underage Felicity and Ben procure some, uh, refreshment and wind up breaking into the university's swimming pool.

"When I was in college, I got into a lot of trouble. I almost got kicked out in my first year," he says.

"That's the fun part -- doing the stuff college kids really do. I think it's hard with network television to get away with it ... there are limits to what you can do.

"But I really want to bring it into the show. It's something Ben would do."

Last summer Speedman filmed Duets with Gwyneth Paltrow and Andre Braugher in Vancouver.
